Winter Wonderland in Weihai: Celebrating the Spirit of Christmas at WZFS
Weihai is truly a gem along China’s eastern coast, offering all four seasons in their full glory. As a coastal city, it’s not every day you hear about snowfall blanketing sandy beaches, but this winter, Weihai treated us to a spectacular sight. The shimmering white snow against the gentle waves was breathtaking—a perfect reminder of Weihai’s unique beauty and charm.
At WZFS, the season of giving is in full swing as we prepare for Christmas and our much-anticipated Zhongshi Christmas Festival. The school is abuzz with festive cheer as teachers, staff, and our bobaes come together to decorate, rehearse performances, and craft special moments for the big day. From the twinkling lights adorning our halls to the joyful carols echoing through campus, it’s a heartwarming sight to see our community unite in celebration.
This year, our teachers and staff have also extended the spirit of Christmas beyond our campus. Together, we’ve collected donations for families living in the rural mountains, where winter’s chill can be especially harsh. From warm clothing to essential supplies, these gifts represent the love and care we hold for our extended community. This act of generosity, fueled by the kindness of our WZFS family, embodies the true essence of Christmas: love, compassion, and service.
As we reflect on these efforts, we are reminded that this spirit of giving is woven into the fabric of WZFS. It’s in the dedication of our teachers and staff, the enthusiasm of our bobaes, and the shared joy that fills our hearts during this special time of year.
