Tournament Recap: A Day of Heart and Determination

The highly anticipated QISN tournament has come to an end, and although the results didn’t go our way, our students left everything on the field. The girls’ team, despite losing both of their games, played with incredible heart and determination, showcasing the skills and spirit that make WZIS proud. Their effort was unmatched, and they truly embodied what it means to give your all.

On the boys’ side, the tournament was a nail-biter. They fought their way to the finals but came up just short in a close 1-0 loss. It was a hard-fought match, and while the outcome wasn’t in our favor, their performance was nothing short of inspiring. They left everything out there, and we couldn't be prouder.

What made this tournament even more special was the overwhelming support from our community. Thanks to the VEO live feed, many families, friends, and fans from WZIS tuned in to watch the games from home. WeChat was buzzing with excitement, filled with messages of encouragement from across the globe. The dedication of the bobaes, teachers, and Coach Eri was evident in every moment of the tournament. They pushed through injuries, braved the cold, and kept their spirits high throughout.

At WZIS, win or lose, we always do our best! As they make their journey back home, we wish them safe travels and hope they get some well-deserved rest. Their determination, sportsmanship, and resilience are what make WZIS a special place, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort they put in this weekend.
