Introducing Operation Pen Pal: Connecting WZIS Students with the World
This semester, we are excited to launch Operation Pen Pal at WZIS! As part of this initiative, 16 of our primary bobaes will have the unique opportunity to connect with penpals from different parts of the globe. Our students will exchange letters with children from Mexico, the USA, and Germany, creating an exciting cultural exchange that will expand their horizons and introduce them to new perspectives.
What makes this even more special is that all of their penpals are homeschooled students. Through the art of letter writing, our bobaes will not only improve their communication skills but also experience the joy of connecting with peers from diverse backgrounds and learning about their countries, traditions, and daily lives.
This exchange offers more than just a chance to make new friends; it fosters global awareness, empathy, and the practice of our core values—such as respect, responsibility, and wisdom—by appreciating different cultures and ways of life.
We can’t wait to see the friendships and learning opportunities that will unfold through Operation Pen Pal. As letters travel across borders, our bobaes will embark on a journey of curiosity and kindness, gaining insights that will stay with them for years to come.
Stay tuned for updates on this incredible experience as our students share their stories and adventures from around the world!
