A Busy Thursday at WZIS: Preparing for Chuseok and Bobae Life in Weihai

It’s another active Thursday here at Weihai Zhongshi International School (WZIS), with bobaes fully engaged in their daily classes. As always, the focus is on learning, collaboration, and creativity, but this week carries a little extra excitement as we approach our long weekend break to celebrate the Chuseok holiday.

For those who may not be familiar, Chuseok is one of Korea’s most important cultural celebrations. Also known as the Korean harvest festival, Chuseok is a time when families gather to give thanks for the harvest and honor their ancestors. Similar to Thanksgiving in the West, Chuseok offers a moment to reflect, enjoy special meals like songpyeon (sweet rice cakes), and participate in cherished traditions. Many of our bobaes and staff at WZIS are looking forward to spending time with their families and participating in this meaningful holiday.

However, even with Chuseok right around the corner, our bobaes are hard at work! Today, the classrooms at Weihai Zhongshi International School are bustling with activity. Whether it's diving into science experiments, working on group projects, or studying quietly in the library, our bobaes are fully engaged in the learning process.

At WZIS, we pride ourselves on fostering an enriching learning environment, and it’s inspiring to see bobaes make the most of these final few days before the Chuseok break. The dedication to their studies, even with a long weekend approaching, is a testament to the vibrant student life here at our school.

As the week progresses, we’re looking forward to a few days of rest, reflection, and celebration. For now, though, it’s all about staying focused on learning and finishing the week strong!

Stay tuned for more updates on student life at WZIS, and we wish everyone a happy and restful Chuseok holiday!
