Weihai Zhongshi International School
More about
our school
Founded in 2006 by Moody and Esther Lee, Weihai Zhongshi International School (WZIS), also known as Weihai Zhongshi Foreign School (WZFS), was established with a profound vision: to cultivate and empower servant leaders who will make a lasting, positive impact on the world. The school's guiding philosophy is encapsulated in the phrase, "From China to the World," which reflects its mission to nurture global citizens with strong values, academic excellence, and a commitment to serving others.
WZIS is proudly accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the ACSI. These prestigious accreditations affirm our commitment to providing a world-class education that meets the highest standards of academic excellence and holistic development. WZIS is one of only two ACSI-certified international schools in China, underscoring our unique position in integrating a strong moral and ethical framework with a rigorous academic program.
At WZIS, students—whom we affectionately refer to as "BoBae," a Korean term meaning "treasure"—are encouraged to explore their potential, embrace diverse cultures, and develop the skills necessary to lead with integrity and purpose. This term reflects how deeply we value each member of our school community, seeing each individual not just as a student, but as a cherished part of the WZIS family. Throughout our website, you will see the term "BoBae" used in place of "student" to emphasize its significance and meaning to our school culture.
Through a rigorous academic curriculum and a holistic approach to education, WZIS prepares BoBaes not just for higher education but for a lifetime of meaningful contributions to society. Join us on this transformative journey where education goes beyond the classroom, and every BoBae is inspired to become a beacon of positive change, carrying the ethos of "From China to the World."
